Michuki Technical Training Institute as a middle level government sponsored institution has undertaken to train technical and technological graduates in various trades (see brochure:).

Our vision, ‘’to become leaders in TIVET in Kenya and beyond “is in line with the National Vision 2030.

We are working to keep pace with the provisions of the newly created TIVET authority. This is especially so in our relationship with the industries.

We offer courses in engineering trades like electrical installation, welding and fabrication and motor vehicle mechanics.

On offer too are trade courses in building including Plumbing and masonry. Research has shown that the country Kenya is short of a million artisans to support the expected growth in the short and long term. With this in mind the institute endeavors to play its role proactively in meeting these targets.

These trades equip the trainees with skills that enable them to deal with day to day challenges facing citizens in these fields.

It isn’t enough to train just artisans, craftsmen and technicians.

The trade’s people require the services of business minds to market and manage their products. The institute therefore also offers programs intended to provide the nation with these services. These include courses like Business Management, Procurement and Human Resource Management.

Besides production today is driven by efficiency at work, precision in timing etcetera. This makes computer technology a prerequisite part of any form of knowledge.

In order for the institute to meet this demand every student taking any training program must compulsorily take an Information Technology course.

This is aside the fact that the Institute offers certificate and diploma courses in Information Technology and Computer Science.

In the institutional management and clothing technology, the institute offers exciting programs in Fashion and Design and Garment Making and a Food and Beverages program that is becoming the choice course for many.

Our programs also take care of Kenyans of all education backgrounds.

As a national Institute, we receive students from all destinations across the country.

As a result the institute has witnessed high growth in student population over the last seven years.
